In addition to information sessions, CITED in New York has hosted a number of events at Teachers College, including CITED Conversations, workshops on designing and publishing research in teacher education, and a lecture on Hip Hop Ed and Teacher Education. Past CITED Conversations have included: ‘Expanding Vygotsky’s Approach to Teacher Development & Education’; ‘Transforming Research in Teacher Education’; and ‘TeacherEd Confidential: Venture Capitalism and the Academic Underbelly’.
CITED in London has offered a rich and varied programme of activities including seminars in ‘Accountability in Teacher Education’ (Marilyn Cochran-Smith); ‘Race and Teacher Education’ (Vini Lander); ‘School-Based Peer Mentoring in Teacher Education’ (Hoa Nguyen); as well as summer workshops for early career researchers (Janet Orchard, Peter Smagorinsky and Keith Turvey). In May 2019, Bill Penuel will also facilitate a workshop on Design Based Implementation Research.
